My terms

  1. My first visit to your site is to discuss your requirements and to take measurements. This visit is free as long as curtain poles/tracks are in place. I can only ascertain the exact measurements required If the intended hardware is already in place at that time. An exception to this is if you ask me to provide covered battens for attaching Roman blinds. In that case, they can be delivered together with the finished blinds to be attached by a building professional of your choice. Additionally, I will need your permission to take a contact name, email address, record the site address and take photographs of any windows for which treatment is planned.
  2. Additional services, such as interior design advice, conducting research, help with choosing fabrics or matching fabric to existing features, fetching and returning keys from addresses other than the site where the soft furnishings are required, or advising on the hardware is possible by mutual agreement. My fee is time-based at £25 per half hour. If these additional services are to be provided before my curtain estimate is accepted, payment is invoiced and payable immediately.
  3. The next step is an estimate. Unless you have already provided me with details of your chosen fabric (make, colour, width, vertical and horizontal pattern repeat), it will be based on a plain fabric without a pattern repeat and a usable width of ca. 130cm/54″. My estimate will be sent to the email address you provided me with during my initial visit. I will include these terms and conditions to which I will ask you to agree in writing. Any alterations to the initial design can be made at this stage.
  4. If the relevant hardware was not in place or there were other reasons why I have been unable to measure accurately during my initial visit, such as obstacles on the site, a repeat visit will be necessary after the hardware has been installed/obstacles removed. My time for this is charged at £25 per half hour and will include time on site plus travelling time.
  5. If you have made the decision to go ahead with your soft furnishings, I will ask for a deposit of 40% of the amount in my estimate, plus any additional work in point 4 above. I will then order the necessary materials in order to start the work, or the client can order it to arrive at my address.
  6. The finished article(s) will be delivered. If they can reasonably be delivered by bicycle and trailer within a radius of 5 miles from 98 Dalling Road W6 0JA, then this is a free service. Larger items will need to either be picked up by the client, or you can organise a transfer at your own cost.
  7. If you order from me you are agreeing to the above.
